Yare Folk Music Group
The Yare Folk Music Group meet on a Tuesday evening, and they are always keen to have new players come along and join in their sessions, so if you are a little rusty and would like to take up playing again then do get in touch.
Commemorative Planting of Silver Birch Trees
Residents of Mill Meadow assembled on a beautiful autumn Sunday afternoon to officially plant two silver birch trees to commemorate Her Majesty the Queen's platinum jubilee and remembrance of the Queen's recent passing. Also in attendance were members of Strumpshaw Community Hall committee and Sheila Ashford, Chair of Strumpshaw Parish Council who gave them thanks on behalf of the local community.
Macmillian Coffee Morning
Many thanks to all those people who made the recent Macmillan Coffee Morning a great success. We raised an amazing amount £842. Thanks too for those who donated raffle prizes, made cakes, savouries, jams, chutney and pickels. It was lovely to see the hall full and being enjoyed by so many people.

Birthday Parties
The Hall facilities are ideal for birthday parties
St Peter's Church Christmas Fayre was a great success and well attended. A record amount of £845 was raised.
Strumpshaw Sewing Bees finish off the Christmas bunting and put a little sparkle in the entrance hall just in time for the Christmas Fayre.
Work has been underway on transforming the land around the hall.
Top soil added and grass seed sown, it will look great in the Spring.
Yare Folk Play Along
New traditional folk music gathering at Strumpshaw Community Hall on Tuesdays from 7.30pm - 9.30pm

An acoustic instrumental gathering to share and play tunes old and new, learning by ear for improving beginners upwards.
​
Drawing on Scottish Irish, English as well as further afield.
​
Booking is essential to assure social distancing and numbers are limited.
This is a non for profit venture and current fee is £5.00 to cover the cost of hall hire.

Hatha Yoga classes with AlexYoga.

In every class we start from scratch, warming up to lead to a flow of postures. The movements are simple and clearly explained, and you are able to get used to them and progress safely in your own time.
This class is not just for beginners. If you have been doing yoga for a while you will have realised that as much as everyday in your life is different, so is your practise of yoga! Any yoga that you get to do is beneficial to your mind, body and soul. During the class, variations on the asanas (positions) are given so that you can challenge yourself and grow in your practise. We always end with a soothing relaxation, guaranteed to help you face the challenges of life..
£7 pay as you go or £36 for 6 classes pre booked. Spaces are limited. Bring your own mat, blanket and belt (could be a bathrobe belt or a tie).
